The UAE is where a lot of businesses are scaling from

100% foreign ownership, no personal income tax, residency that comes with your license, and a base within 8 hours of most of Asia, Europe and Africa. The part people get wrong is the structure underneath it.

Everything it takes, in one place

A license on its own does not let you operate. Five things have to happen, and each one sits with a different authority.

  • The right structure, worked out first

Mainland, free zone or offshore is not a preference — it follows from what you sell and who you sell it to. We map that before anything is filed, because the wrong structure is expensive to unwind later.

  • Set up without being here

Most free zone companies are registered, licensed and documented while you are still wherever you are. You come to the UAE for the residence visa stages, and we tell you which those are before you start.

  • Residence visas, handled in-house

Establishment card, immigration file, investor and family visas, medical and Emirates ID. Processed by our own team rather than passed to a third party you never speak to.

  • Banking, prepared properly

Bank onboarding is where most new companies stall. We prepare your application to the standard UAE banks expect and introduce you to banks that accept your activity and structure.

  • Compliance that does not become your problem

Corporate tax and VAT registration, accounting and annual renewals through CZTA inside the same group — so year two is handled by the same people who set you up in year one.

Transparent starting prices

What you pay depends on your activity, your visa count and whether you need premises. These are the honest starting points — and the same numbers your advisor works from.

Starting prices, exclusive of government fees that vary by activity and visa count. Mainland is quoted individually because premises costs vary too widely to publish a figure that would be useful. Every line is itemised in your written proposal before you commit. Payment plans are available via Tabby and selected bank cards.

Why Creative Zone

4 things that are true of us and not of everyone offering the same license.

Questions, answered

1. Is a consultation useful if I have not decided anything yet?

Yes — that is the normal starting point. Start with what the business actually does and where your customers will be, and the structure follows from that. Choosing a jurisdiction first and working backwards is how people end up in the wrong setup.

2. How long does it take?

2–5 working days for most free zone licenses once your documentation is complete, subject to setup type and approvals. Residence visas add roughly 1–2 weeks after the license is issued. Mainland takes longer, mainly because of premises and Ejari.

3. What does it actually cost?

Free zone licenses start from AED 12,500 in Dubai and AED 9,999 in the other emirates, and e-commerce from AED 5,999. Your final figure depends on your activity, how many residence visas you need and whether you require premises. Mainland is quoted individually because premises costs vary too widely to publish a number that would be useful to you.

4. Do I need a local partner or sponsor?

Not for a free zone company, and not for most mainland activities either — UAE law now permits 100% foreign ownership across the large majority of commercial activities. A small number of strategic activities still require an Emirati partner. We confirm which applies to you on the first call.

5. Can I set up from outside the UAE?

Most of it, yes. Free zone registration, the license and your corporate documents complete remotely. You need to be in the UAE in person for the medical and Emirates ID stages of your residence visa, and some banks want to meet you before activating an account.

6. Mainland or free zone — which do I need?

It comes down to who you sell to. If you need to trade directly with customers inside the UAE, that points to mainland. If your customers are international or you are selling online and services, a free zone is usually better economics and simpler to set up.

7. Will I be able to open a bank account?

It depends on your activity, your structure and how the file is presented. We prepare the application to the standard UAE banks expect and introduce you to banks that accept your profile. No consultant can guarantee a bank’s decision, and you should be wary of any who claims otherwise.

8. What happens after the license is issued?

Your license renews annually, and depending on activity and turnover you may have corporate tax and VAT obligations. Your account manager stays with you through renewals, and tax and accounting sits with CZTA inside the same group.

Take the first step. We’ll help with what follows.

30 minutes with an advisor, free and with no obligation. You leave the call knowing which structure fits, what it costs and what happens next — in writing.
